Evaggelistrias Monastery

One of the oldest monasteries in Samos, dating back to 10th c.. Dirt road must be crossed and trekking required. Combine and continue trekking #9 to Prophet Elias chapel and till “Vigla” the top of Kerkis mont.

Prophet Elias Chapel

It serves as a key reference point for everyone hiking on Mount Kerkis.

Founded in 1867, and dedicated to St John. At 13th-16th c.. The area was pirates refuge who attacked passing ships. Dirt road must be crossed. Combine your visit with relax at pristine nearby beach.

Panagia Makrini Chapel

a Christian ascetic hermitage from the 8th c.. Dirt road must be crossed and short trekking required. Combine your visit with trekking to the top of Kerkis mont (difficult trail).
